According to album sales information available at Billboard.biz, U.S. album sales dropped 12% in January 2009 versus the same period in 2008. Compared to January 2007, album sales in January 2009 were down 29.5%.
This is a familiar story. January 2008 album sales were down 12.2% compared to January 2007.
