There are numerous reports today on MySpace's new feature called "Take Down, Stay Down." (Read article at News.com and the press release.) The technology, which incorporates Audible Magic, will prevent users from uploading videos that had been previously removed for copyright reasons.

MySpace starting testing Audible Magic's video fingerprinting technology in February. The new aspect of "Take Down, Stay Down," other than the snappy name, is a set of tools that alow copyright holders to flag content with just a few clicks. "(It's) the ability to have a piece of content imprinted and put in a database so we can identify it," said the CEO of Audible Magic.
