091206_LittleOnes.jpgL.A. indie band The Little Ones (pictured) have signed a deal with Astralwerks, which will re-release the band's self-released EP. The band starts a brief tour with French Kicks this Friday.

Blog buzz band (bluzz band?) has signed to 4AD outside of North America.

Cauterize has signed with Fontana-distributed High Four Records. The band used to be with Wind-Up. (Via Kings of A&R)

Adam Richmand has parted ways with Or Records. (Also via Kings of A&R)

A reader wrote in to say Steve Barnett and Rob Stringer and much of the Columbia A&R staff was at the Mobius Band's recent show at the Mercury. Interested in signing the band? No, but it's thought they may have read the bluzz at Stereogum and dutifully stopped by to see what the hubbub was all about. Maybe that's where the inspiration for that Hits article came from?

J Northington and Gabe Lindeman, formerly of Tsunami Bomb, have a new project called Nothington that has signed to BYO Records. The four-piece will enter the studio in May of 2007. Go to the group's MySpace page to stream or download new demos.

Lastly, the Associated Press reports the Naked Cowboy will release an album of country music. No label is mentioned in the article.
