080306_ArthurLee.jpgArthur Lee, the frontman for legendary band Love, died earlier today at the age of 61. He had been battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Mark Linn, who was Lee's manager, posted the news at a Love message board.

In June of 2006, a benefit concert was held in New York to help pay for Lee's medical bills (it featured Robert Plant and Ryan Adams, among others). David Fricke reviewed the concert (read at Rock and Roll Daily).
