Sometimes the best way to promote is to keep things simple. This email from the band The Diggs represents the best promotion Coolfer has seen in some time. Just the facts, no extraneous info. (The band's website is equally clean and simple.)

They're playing the Mercury? Ok, no need to blab on and on. Everybody in town knows the Mercury. Just tell us what time to show up. A link to a PDF of the event flyer? Beautiful. It doesn't necessarily need to be sent as an attachment. Band URL? Check. MySpace page? Check. Bonus: Links to the band's music at iTunes and CD Baby.
