This from today's Hits' Rumor Mill:

"BREAKING NEWS: Following the resignation of Matt Serletic, Jason Flom will become Virgin Records' Chairman/CEO. How do we know? Because it went up this morning on Billboard.com. Oh wait-that's what we've been telling you for the last two weeks. Never mind."

So protective of a scoop, aren't we? That's quite a testy attitude for a column that takes about half its material from the New York Post. Besides, the rumor is all over the place, not just in Hits. I think I saw it scrawled above a urinal at the Bowery Ballroom.
